Schools out for the summer and so are you. You go out to dinner more than you cook, you spend less time at the gym and more time on the beach chair. You are constantly trying to get through the work week or busy planning activities for your family and friends. At the end of the day, a nice glass of Rosé seems necessary. It’s summer, and you should totally enjoy every bit of it, especially because it goes by so fast! Though, I am here to remind you to check in with yourself, and provide some healthy, fun suggestions to keep summer alive and YOU thriving!
#1) Try Something New:
On a sunny summer day, you won’t find me in the gym, instead, I am floating on a Stand Up Paddle board doing pushups! Yes, you can work out on a paddle board. It’s the new favorite way to workout, plus you get that summer glow while you’re at it. Check out some SUP offerings here! and a video of SUP in action!
#2) Take Your Workout Outside:
The playground is not just for kids! Did you know that monkey bars are great for toning the upper body and core? Here is a fun playground workout to try!
#3) Spend Some Time with You and only YOU!
Even if it’s just 10 minutes. Take your coffee out on the porch or backyard alone, and breathe. Smile, appreciate yourself for all that you did, and forgive yourself for the things you didn’t check off your list. Life is better with you in it, never think otherwise.
